Washington, Mar. 07: Tablets are reportedly said to outsell traditional PCs worldwide by 2015.
Studies have revealed that 42percent of American adults currently own tablets and sales reflected this phenomenon.
According to market intelligence firm IDC, although the tablet market’s growth rate is slowing, PC sales were declining even more, Mashable reports.
IDC noted that desktop PC sales in 2012 were equal to those of tablets at 143.4 million units.
In 2013 tablet sales rose to 218.5 million units and laptop PC sales were at 315.1 million units.
