NIT-MS celebrates Nandi utsav as part of Founder’s Day

Bangalore, April 4rd, 2014:The Nandi Institute of Technology and Management Sciences (NIT-MS) celebrated its Annual Cultural Fest as Nandi Utsav on the day of NICE Foundation Day.  This celebration saw a series of inter-collegiate competitive events being conducted, along with several other scintillating attractions.

The morning session of inter-collegiate events was inaugurated at 9:30 AM by famous cine actress Ms Parul Yadav. The various events went on till around 4 PM.

The evening session began at 5:00 PM with the inauguration of NIT-MS Boys Hostel by Parama Poojya Sri Sri Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji, Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math, Bangalore. The Chief Guest, Dr. H Maheshappa, Honorable Vice Chancellor of VTU and Sri Ashok Kheny, Chairman, NIT- MS and MD, NICEL were present.

The inauguration was followed by the felicitation of the Karnataka Bulldozers team who were winners of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) Championship. The entire team including Captain Kiccha Sudeep, Sandalwood Star who were guests of honor, were present.

A prize distribution ceremony for the students of NIT-MS and employees of NICE followed. These were achievers in various sports and cultural events conducted by NIT-MS as well as the NICE Groups. A fashion show and dance by the talented students of the college rounded up the formal events of the day.

The highlight of the evening was the pulsating concert by Raghu Dixit and his team at 7 PM. The charismatic Raghu had the audience enthralled. The Utsav concluded at 9 PM with a colourful event.

The Parama Poojya Swamiji blessed the entire community and Dr. H Maheshappa explained the challenges faced in the Engineering colleges, guided and motivated the students with inspirational words.

Speaking on the grand success of the Nandi Utsav, Mr.Ashok Kheny, Hon’ble Chairman, NIT-MS said, “The event was fun-filled and enjoyable one for the students, faculty and all those attending the event. The campus was filled with students, dignitaries, celebrities from all realms of life. It brought our campus to life and brought out the best in managerial skills amongst our students.”
