April 22 is Chetan Bhagat’s birthday and among those who wished the bestselling author a happy birthday on Twitter is the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. The best wishes also came with a selfie.
The selfie was taken when Bhagat met Modi on Monday evening.
“Dear @chetan_bhagat, many many happy returns of the day! Sharing the selfie you took last evening,” said Modi on Twitter.
However, Bhagat had already tweeted his selfie with the Gujarat Chief Minister a day ago, with this message:
“Met #namo. You know a leader has the youth pulse when he can discuss job creation and is still up for a selfie!” Bhagat said.
Again in the morning, as Modi wished him on his birthday, Bhagat, who turned 39 on Tuesday, replied: “Thank u sir. Wish u all the best for May 16th. Opinion polls suggest 300 is not impossible! When the front-running PM candidate of the world’s biggest democracy remembers your birthday and posts a selfie, have to say, it feels nice.”
