25th Sept. 2014, Bengaluru: UBM India today announced the opening of PharmaLytica 2014 (25th-27th Sept), at BIEC, Bengaluru. Supported by the Karnataka Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers’ Association (KDPMA), the show features over 100 exhibitors representing 30 countries, and is expected to be attended by 6000 visitors during the three days event.
The event comes at a time when the Karnataka government has made it a mandate to try and boost the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors for the state and ensuring its focus on this sector for attracting investments during the Global Investors Meet (GIM) to be held in January 2015.
Welcoming the esteemed guests, exhibitors, participants and visitors, Mr. Joji George, MD, UBM India said, “It’s a great moment for us to host PharmaLytica’s maiden show at Bengaluru. The event ushers in a great future for the state, of Karnataka, especially for its Pharmaceutical Industry. The state has proved its metal to the world in the IT sector and courtesy some path breaking work from the Pharma companies based here, Karnataka shall soon feature in the international map as the hub for Pharma sector as well. Our esteemed Prime Minister’s recent visit to the city signifies the growing importance of the state in national platform.â€

On the sideline of the exhibition and conference, the event will be a congregation of R&D heads and decision makers from pharmaceuticals, contract research, clinical trials, and biotechnology actively engaging with participants and exhibitors alike. Serving as an industry platform, the event connects the pharmaceutical expertise from India and international markets with the Pharmaceutical manufacturers, outsourcing solution providers, including clinical trials, contract research, custom manufacturing, biotech, IT and analytical services from across India and select global markets.
