First Howard Johnson Hotel Opens in Bangalore

Bengaluru, 11th October 2014: Howard Johnson, part of Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company with approximately 7,540 hotels and part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation(NYSE: WYN), launched its first Howard Johnson hotel in India at the IT city of Bengaluru.

The brand makes its entry into India through an agreement with Unique Mercantile India Private Limited. Howard Johnson Bengaluru, Hebbal is a 117-room mid-market, full service hotel, conveniently located close to the Kempegowda International Airport, adjacent to Manyata Embassy Business Park. The brand proposition, go happy, go hoJo is recognized across the world.

Under the agreement with Wyndham Hotel Group, we plan to launch 35 Howard Johnson properties by 2020 across different parts of India. HoJo is a well-known hotel chain across many countries. Designed with the cost conscious Indian customer in mind, Howard Johnson in India will provide great amenities at the most competitive prices in the industry.â€

The rooms at Howard Johnson Hebbal, Bengaluru are categorized into 81 deluxe rooms, 23 executive club rooms, 5 premium rooms and 8 suites. All rooms will have well-appointed amenities like digital anti-theft laptop safes, personal mini bars, a tea and coffee maker, working table with an ergonomic chair and much more.

To add to this, guests can also enjoy an outdoor swimming pool that gives a panoramic view of the city, a spa and a high-tech fitness center. For high powered meetings and business visits, the hotel hosts a 3,500 square foot conference and event space, which includes two meeting rooms and a business center that is open 24 hours a day.
