Bangalore: The season of colors will be back this Republic Day with the fourth edition of Colorothon Season 4, this time, bigger, better, brighter and with more color added by the main sponsor, Kansai Nerolac.

Colorothon is a concept of Breathe Entertainment and was co-founded by Kishore Joseph  and Ahmed Shariff. “What better sight can there be than seeing a bright-eyed little child poring over a piece of paper and painting with both her hands? Or a 80-year-old man competing with the spirit of a eight-year-old with young participants who are as old as his great-grand children?,” says Kishore Joseph, “Colorothon is so more than just a painting contest. It’s more like a jugalbandi of people who would like to explore their creativity.”

The event is open to all participants from as less as 3 years to as old as 90 years, including all social groups, communities, and professions.

Given the size, scale and setting of Nerolac Colorothon Season 4, the participants are assured of their fifteen minutes of fame. There’s also a hot chance of the event gaining entry into the Guinness Book of Records and the Limca Book of Records, according to Ahmed Shariff.

The painting participants also are assured of their fifteen minutes of fame since the event organizers are aiming for its entry into the Guinness Book of Records and the Limca Book of Records for the most number of people gathered to paint at one place.

All the paintings will be auctioned to raise funds for Snehadeep Trust for the Disabled , in addition to 300 best paintings from the others donated to them.

Colorothon plans to make a colorful entry into other major cities such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai,

Kolkata & Guwahati, after their successful foray into New Delhi recently. “Our vision is to see Indians from all over the country of all ages and all groups take to  painting on a day which will be celebrated as Colorothon Day,” says Kishore. Joseph  “We will be approaching the Tourism and Culture department seeking their support and funding for this social cause and  take this event to all major cities in India.

Aasheesh Saxena, Divisional Manager, South,  kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd. says, “We live in the age of expression, creativity and innovation. We at Kansai Nerolac are proud to present to you a colourful platform to express yourself and let your creative juices flow uninterrupted.
