Believe it or not, but this might come true if the trio is found guilty , Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor’s troubles over their participation in the AIB Roast are far from over. After several police complaints and a public interest litigation (PIL), now a fresh First Information Report (FIR) has been registered in Lucknow against the trio alleging that the AIB Knockout video, which was uploaded on YouTube (and was later taken off) is ‘vulgar’ and ‘against the Indian culture’.
A Lucknow-based activist Kailash Chandra Pandey has filed this case against Karan, Ranveer and Arjun under Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (for obscene acts or words in public) and section 66 of the IT Act (for sending offensive messages through communication service, etc.)
“It is shocking for me to find my nine-year-old kid watching such a video. We should discourage circulating this stuff, or else it would have adverse effect on our culture,†Pandey said.
The next date of hearing is February 26, and, if found guilty, Karan, Arjun and Ranveer can be sentenced to a jail term for two to three years as per the law.
The storm that AIB Knockout has sparked just doesn’t seem to go. Do you think Karan, Arjun and Ranveer deserve to go to jail or are several people overreacting and taking the matter too far
