Ruchira Mookerjee, 18, young, vivacious and exuberant beauty queen from Kolkata, was crowned as the first runner-up at the fbb Femina Miss India Kolkata 2015. Mookerjee, comes across as a warm hearted, affectionate girl who dreams big and believes in making her dreams a reality. A fashionista, who loves to explore, and is a movie buff, who enjoys shoots and loves music, is a true diva in the making. In a tete-a-tete, Ruchira makes some candid confessions and revelations about life and her journey of becoming a beauty queen.
What made you participate in beauty pageants, what was your inspiration?
The beautiful gowns, the coveted crowns and the glamorous girls would always attract me.
You were crowned as the first runner-up, how does it feel to be one of the winners at Femina Miss India Kolkata 2015?
Well, firstly I feel extremely happy and proud of myself. Being chosen as the first runner-up among so many beautiful and intelligent girls makes me feel like I’m very close to fulfilling my dreams.
What was your most memorable part at the Miss India Kolkata 2015 pageant?
From the time I got selected for the Kolkata finals, it has been magical. I got so learn a great things, in such a short span of time. Well, the most memorable part was during the last day lunch when all the 12 finalists sat together for lunch. We were really quiet and didn’t want to part our ways so soon. We also planned to go for a trip together. I will always cherish the bond I shared with all these amazing girls.
What qualities in you, do you think sets you apart from the other girls in the competition?
Being the youngest competitor, I think my determination, dusky skin, my smile and the vivaciousness in me sets me apart from the other girls in the competition.
What is your strategy for Miss India?
Well, I will try to absorb every little knowledge and good qualities from everyone and also be confident with my endeavours.
How confident are you about winning Miss India pageant?
With my focus, determination and passion I am really confident about winning the Miss India pageant.
If not a beauty queen what would you be?
If not a beauty queen, I would look at myself as a business entrepreneur in the coming years.

Firstly, I am thankful to all of them for their love, good wishes and blessings. All their messages, comments and posts have been really encouraging. If I win the coveted crown it will not only be my win but also a victory for my fans, friends and family.
