New Delhi, Feb. 18: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday said that nothing was found in violation of the law in the investigation of Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) foreign funds.
The counsel appearing for the home ministry told a bench, comprising Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice R S Endlaw that the Intelligence Bureau report has found nothing against the party.
However, the court has directed the government to file a fresh status report in a sealed cover regarding its findings in the matter.
The court reserved the order on the public interest litigation (PIL) that sought a CBI probe into the funds the AAP.
AAP had earlier in December challenged the BJP to probe the sources from where it was receiving its funds for its activities in anticipation of elections, after the latter questioned the source of the party’s funding.
It had further said that the BJP’s fund raising activities should also be investigated.
