Shayne Lamas, the daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas and winner of the twelfth season of The Bachelor, is expecting her second child and first son with husband Nik Richie. The couple already have one daughter, three-year-old Press Dahl.
However, this birth will be extra special, because Lamas’ stepmom, Shawna Craig, 28, is acting as the couple’s surrogate.
“She’s not just my stepmother,” Lamas, 29, told Closer Weekly. “She’s an angel that blessed my whole family, including my father.”
The Argentine-American reality teleivision star has grappled with pregnancy complications in the past. In February 2014, she lost a baby after a rare uterine rupture.
“Somebody else carrying your baby is weird,” she told the magazine. “But, I lost my son, and now Shawna is carrying my son. I have just been given the biggest blessing in the whole world, and I will always be grateful.”
Lorenzo Lamas, best know for his roles on Falcon Crest and The Bold and The Beautiful, married Shawna Craig in 2011. Congratulations to the happy family!
