Ten more people have died due to swine flu in Gujarat, taking the total death toll due to the disease in the state to over 180.
As per reports, three people died in Rajkot while two deaths each were reported from Vadodara and Anand.
Over 200 new H1NI cases have also been reported across the state. The total number of cases reported from Gujarat has also reportedly crossed the 2000 mark.
Earlier on Thursday, Cabinet Secretary Ajit Seth said there was no need to panic as there is sufficient stock of medicines for supply.
He stressed that the states should ensure that the outbreak monitoring cells and necessary help-lines function round-the-clock.
Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda has said that there is no dearth of medicines and hospitals are equipped to deal with swine flu.
Swine flu deaths toll has soared to over 700 across the country. Swine flu cases have been reported from states like Jammu and Kashmir and Nagaland. Authorities in these two states have issued alerts following the detection of H1N1 cases.
