Mangaluru: On Sunday February 22, pet lovers from the city got a chance to adopt Indian dogs and cats and give them a ‘home forever’.

Several families adopted pets during an adoption camp held by Animal Care Trust during their ‘Adopt-a-thon’, a one-day adoption camp.

The camp was held at Gandhinagar Park, Mannagudda.  The camp witnessed rescued adult pedigree Indian dogs and kittens being adopted as well as months old puppies getting a family of their own.

Adult pedigree dogs were sterilized prior to adoption. Counselling of the adopters was done before adoption.

Enthusiastic dog and cat lovers were seen walking away from the adoption camp, cuddling pets.

A flash mob was also organized by the volunteers and members of the Animal Care Trust propagating the message of adoption of Indian breeds and love towards all kinds of animals.
