Same-sex marriages have become almost acceptable in some societies, though in India, they still remain a rarity and are still frowned upon as abnormal conduct. But the first Indo-American lesbian wedding which took place in Los Angeles, US (in 2013) turned out to be a happy occasion for almost every one invited. Most guests gave their blessings heartily and many were left to tears with sheer love and affection that they witnessed.

“I have been anticipating this wedding for years now! Shannon & Seema are special to me and I am honored that they chose me to be their wedding photographer.

I flew into Los Angeles a few hours before the wedding festivities began. I was greeted by a house full of friends, family and a lot of laughter,” well that’s how the official photographer of the wedding, Steph Grant described the wedding of Shannon and Sheena- the first Indo-American lesbian marriage on his Facebook page.

And even though the wedding happened two years back, the wedding pictures continue to go viral over the net, specifically on social networking sites.
