Reading football club secured their first FA Cup semifinal berth for 88 years after cruising past opponents Bradford 3-0 in their last-eight replay at Madejski Stadium on Monday night.
Midfielder Hal Robson-Kanu gave Reading an early advantage in the 6th minute before Garath McCleary doubled their lead three minutes later.
Bradford’s Filipe Morais was forced to leave the ground after receiving a red-card in the 63rd minute before Jamie Mackie added a third for Reading to give his team an unassailable 3-0 lead, the BBC reported.
Reflecting on his team’s performance, manager Steve Clarke said that it was a long time since they have been in the semi-finals as a club, but before that they have got some important games in the league, adding that they needed to get some points.
Following the win, Reading will next meet defending champions Arsenal at Wembley on 18 or 19 April.
