Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis bagged their second title in a row after defeating Russian counterparts Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina in the Miami Open women’s doubles final in straight sets on Sunday.
The top seeded duo overcame their Russian opponents 7-5, 6-1 in a gruelling contest that lasted 66 minutes.
Despite facing a strong resistance from the Russian duo in the first set, the top seed overcame them comfortably as they conceded just one game in the second set.
