The uniform of evil Nazi Gestapo chief Hermann Goering to sell for 85,000 pounds at auction in Devon.

The sweat-stained uniform of one of World War Two’s most ruthless Nazis, had been held in a private Swiss museum.

The Nazi leader was well known for being overweight and as a result his uniform shows sweat blemishes and fraying on buttons and buckles.

The outfit was made by the Viennese tailor, Tiller, who was known to have made uniforms for the Nazis during the war.

Although the tailoring of dove grey blue ensemble is very good, the materials used are of remarkably low quality.

Antiques dealer John Cabello believed that this was a deliberate attempt by Luftwaffe commander Goering to identify with normal people.

The uniform was part of a set which includes the original tunic, trousers and braces worn by Goering as well as a replica peaked cap and an original Nazi general’s belt.

It is being sold by Parade Antiques in Plymouth, Devon.
