The Akhila Karnataka Federation of Petroleum Traders (AKFPT) decided to support the protest call given by the CIPD (Consortium of Indian Petroleum Dealers) and thus observe a “No Purchase, Single Shift†operation on the 11th of April 2015, scheduled to run from 6 am to 6 pm on the same day, which will then be followed by a “No Purchase, No Sale†protest on the 29th of April 2015.
The AKFPT endorsed the demands of the Consortium, which included a revision of the commission granted to dealers, prevention of randomized revision of product rates by the government, provision of toilet facilities for customers only at various stations, halting the ‘mushrooming’ (sic) of new outlets across the country and lastly a demand for the withdrawal of the Marketing Discipline Guidelines of 2012.
