World number one Novak Djokovic secured a convincing straight sets win over 14-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal to reach the Monte Carlo Open final on Saturday.

Despite losing the initial two games of the match, the Serbian fought back stoutly to beat Nadal 6-3, 6-3 on the clay.

Reflecting on his performance, Djokovic said that he was very happy with how he played against a tough opponent, adding that Nadal is the all-time best on the clay, and therefore it was not an easy match.

Djokovic will meet Tomas Berdych, who claimed a comfortable 6-1, 6-4 win over Gael Monfils, in the final for a third Masters title in a row after winning Indians Wells and Miami Open last month.
