Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday wished the people of Algeria on their Independence Day.
The official twitter account of the Prime Minister’s Office shared his message.
“My best wishes to the people of Algeria on their Independence Day. We consider Algeria a valued friend with whom we have strong ties: PM,” it posted.
“I hope our relations with Algeria become even stronger in the coming years: PM @narendramodi,” it added.
Algeria observes 5 July as its Independence Day, commemorating the nation’s independence from France colonisation in 1962.
