A role model for so many, a visionary leader and a person with an indomitable spirit, RIP APJ Abdul Kalam Sir, Kohli wrote on Twitter.
Renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle also paid his tribute saying, Not just a leader but a cult hero. A great President. A great Indian #RIPKalam.
Kalam, 83, passed away in Shillong yesterday after he was admitted to a hospital in the city.
The former president collapsed during a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management. He was in a critical condition and had been admitted to the city’s Bethany Hospital.
