A moderate earthquake in Afghanistan was felt across South Asia on Monday, shaking the ground in Kabul, Islamabad and New Delhi.
The epicenter of the magnitude 6 quake was 88 kilometers (54.68 miles) from Feyzabad in Afghanistan, at a depth of 209 kilometers (129.87 miles), the US Geological Survey said.
As per the USGS, the 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck at 3:35 pm. It was epicentred 34 kilometres west-southwest of Ashkasham in Afghanistan, or 287 kilometres northeast of capital Kabul at a depth of 223.1 kilometres.
