A new report by the United Nations has warned that Gaza could be ” uninhabitable” in less than five years if current trends in the economy continue.
The UN conference on Trade and Development highlighted the eight years of economic blockade of Gaza and the three wars between Israel and Palestine over the past six years.
Half a million people have been displaced from Gaza after the war in 2014.
The report said that war has eliminated the remaining people from the middle class and pushed them into destitution and dependence on global humanitarian aid.
