Modi announces villages to get 24-hour electricity by 2022

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that villages across the country would be getting 24-hour electricity by 2022.

“Electricity will reach every village in India by 2022. In 1000 days, we will be giving the electricity to 18000 villages,” Prime Minister Modi said while addressing a rally here.

“I promised 24-hours electricity in Gujarat, knowing it was a difficult task,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi stressed on the work his government had done, saying that the Centre has done its work with full dedication in last 15 months and added that he will give details of work done in the time to come.

“Over 4.25 toilets have been constructed in the past year, whatever we have done is just a beginning,” he added.

Emphasizing on the success of his flagship programme, Jan Dhan Scheme, Prime Minister Modi said, “The poor of the country have the first right on the money deposited in our banks.”

Prime Minister will meet also meet Guru Dayanand Giri, according to sources.
