17-time Grand Slam Champion Roger Federer has been named as the top-earning tennis player for the ninth time in a row, according to business magazine Forbes.
The Swiss maestro retained the top spot with a combined 67 million dollars in prize MONEY, endorsement deals and appearances between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015.
Federer, who has 24 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles, is the world’s fifth richest athlete on a list headed by boxer Floyd Mayweather.
World number one Novak Djokovic (USD 48.2m) and 14-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal (USD 32.5m) fall far behind Federer when it comes to earnings power.
Earlier this year, Federer was also the world’s most marketable sports star by the London School of marketing.
Meanwhile, Maria Sharapova topped the list as the highest paid female tennis player, with world number one Serena Williams 47th on the list.
