The Union Tourism and Culture Ministry is going to organise a number of events to mark the World Tourism Day that is being celebrated across the nation today.
The theme of this year’s Tourism Day is “One Billion Tourists, One Billion Opportunities.”
An official statement said the foundation stone laying ceremony of Paryatan Bhawan will also be held in New Delhi.

The Culture Ministry also announced free entry for tourists to 200 ticketed monuments, which include Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Qutub Minar and Red Fort and other museums, across India except in Bihar, where Model code of conduct is in force, as a part of the celebrations.
Union minister of state for culture Mahesh Sharma said the government was determined to attract more tourists from across the World.
