Following the meeting with Security General of Interpol, Jurgen Stock this morning, Union Minister of Home Affairs Rajnath Singh revealed that India has published 835 notices out of which 667 are Red Notices.
During his meeting with Stock, the Home Minister thanked him for the continued cooperation of the Interpol in fugitive tracking and capacity building.
“India has published 835 notices of which 667 are Red Notices. In 2015 alone 36 Red Notice subjects wanted by India are apprehended abroad,” the Ministry of Home Affairs tweeted.
Acknowledging the ominous threat of ISIS in the nation, Rajnath Singh had earlier said that the country was on full alert regarding the danger from the terror outfit.
“India is aware of the looming threat by the ISIS and is taking precautionary steps. The world needs to come together as one to combat ISIS,” Rajnath said.
He added that the danger of the ISIS was not directed to any particular group of nations, but it was a global challenge.
According to reports, the MHA had released an advisory to all states regarding the looming threat from the terror outfit and has ordered to keep a close watch on people, who are suspected to have links with ISIS across the country.
