World number two Andy Murray has admitted that he made ‘too many errors’ in his straight sets loss against Stan Wawrinka in the round-robin contest at the ATP World Tour Finals.
Murray produced another error-strewn performance as he failed to secure a semifinal berth after suffering a 6-7, 4-6 defeat against French Open champion Wawrinka in the year-end tournament.
Reflecting on his performance, Murray said that he was disappointed that he had lost his last two matches and admitted that he made too many errors as he couldn’t get the right balance.
Murray will now shift his attention to helping Great Britain win the Davis Cup in Belgium next weekend, while Wawrinka will take on Roger Federer in the semi-final clash.
