Spanish tennis marvel Rafael Nadal has insisted that he will keep improving himself for a better 2016 season and also to stand a chance of defeating world number one Novak Djokovic.

Nadal, who endured his worst slump of his career by falling to 10th in singles rankings, climbed back to fifth after a string of success late in the year. The 14-time Grand Slam champion ended the season with a top-four finish at the ATP World Tour Finals.

The Spaniard said that he was eyeing some relentless training in order to keep improving himself and to have any chances against Novak next year.

Nadal showed glimpses of his top form when he overcame Andy Murray, David Ferrer and Stan Wawrinka in the group stages at London’s O2 Arena in the season-ending tournament.

Meanwhile, Djokovic capped off a spectacular season in grand style as the world number one lifted the ATP Tour Finals title for a record fourth successive year after defeating six-time champion Roger Federer.
