The Janata Dal (United) on Tuesday lamented Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government for meeting his Pakistani counterpart saying the current regime wasn’t clear of its policies on neighbor.
“It is a good thing that there has been a meeting between both the Prime Ministers but we would like to know that what the policy of this government against Pakistan is?”
Referring to the cancellation of the Ufa agreement, Varma said “You have met them in Ufa and gave a declaration, but that declaration fails to get implemented, then your talk gets cancelled, and then you meet in Paris.”
“The nation wants to know and you should tell them what your policy with Pakistan is?” he added.
It is pertinent to mention here that Modi and Sharif met on the sidelines of the climate meet in Paris.
Modi and Sharif shook hands in a lobby of the Conference Centre and then sat down on a sofa where they were seen talking.
