Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis has said that disgraced fast bowler Mohammad Amir deserves a second chance to make a comeback to the national squad.
The 23-year-old bowler produced an impressive performance, taking nine wickets in seven matches in Bangladesh’s Twenty20 league after ending his five-year ban for spot-fixing in September.
Former fast bowler Younis said that Amir deserves to come back in the cricketing community and enhance his profession.
Amir, who is still undergoing the PCB rehabilitation program, had been banned alongwith Salman Butt and Muhammad Asif for their involvement in the infamous no-balls in the Lord’s Test against England in 2010.
