CSR Activities of Vijaya Bank, Donation of Maruti Eeco to Omashram Trust –Home for the old Aged

Vijaya Bank has been actively engaged in various initiatives benefitting diverse segments of the society, even before the concept of CSR was formally introduced into the corporate functioning. Setting up of Vijaya Rural Development Foundation (VRDF) at Mangalore in 1990 being one of the earliest initiatives followed by setting up of Vijaya Bank Self Employment Training Institutes (VIBSETI) at Mandya, Haveri & Indore.

As a responsible corporate citizen and in order to integrate the process of social needs into our corporate goals on a voluntary basis, Vijaya Bank has been undertaking several CSR initiatives for the benefit of the needy and deserving people in areas like education of the girl child, maintenance of parks, construction of toilet blocks in Govt.schools

in Rural/Semi-urban areas,rural health centres, providing basic amenities to orphanage/old age homes, financial support to people of different disabilities, destitutes, Charitable Trusts, NGOs, patients, donation of Brailers/Computers and furnitures to Blind Schools, transpoertation vehicles for the old age homes/home for the disabled/ mentally challenged, etc.

Shri Kishore Kumar Sansi, MD & CEO of Vijaya Bank, today donated a vehicle to Omashram Trust- A Home away from home for the Aged, at JP Nagar, Bangalore. A Maruthi Eeco vehicle to meet the transportation needs of the aged residents to visit hospitals, temples,etc., handed over to M/s Omashram Trust in a function organized in Trust Premises.

While speaking on the occasion Shri.Kishore Kumar Sansi, MD & CEO emphasized that the Bank’s focus is to integrate social needs into its corporate goals and help the underprivileged/ marginalized sections of the society and bring about sustainable change in their lives and improve their standard of living.
