Australian paceman James Pattinson has admitted that he discarded his remodelled bowling action and reverted back to his old approach to dismantle the touring West Indies side in the first Test in Hobart.
The 25-year-old recalled bowler, who failed to take a single wicket in the West Indies’ first innings, staged a roaring comeback and wreaked havoc on the tourists with a second-innings five-wicket haul.
Pattinson admitted that he was disappointed after he failed to take any wicket in the first innings but added that he was relieved with his performance after being out of the picture for a couple of years, Sport24 reported.
He added that he bowled faster like he did when he first came on to the international scene.
Australia took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series after thrashing the West Indies by an innings and 212 runs in Hobart.
