West Indies star batsman Darren Bravo believes his side have the needed resilience and capability to match the level of Australia for the upcoming Boxing Day Test.

Speaking about their preparation for the second Test, Bravo, who was among West Indies’ few bright sparks during his side’s humiliating innings and 212-run defeat in Hobart, said that his side were really pumped up at the moment and that they were looking forward to the forthcoming game.

The miserable defeat in the opening Test of the three-match series triggered widespread criticism from former greats on the current plight of the islanders’ stand in the international cricket.

Reflecting on the same, Bravo admitted that Windies had faced trouble in adapting to the Australian conditions, but called on his side to fight back at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The 26-year-old insisted that Australia were a very good team, but added that the hosts could too perform badly.

West Indies are currently trailing 0-1 in the series against Australia and the two sides will next play in Melbourne (from December 26) followed by the third Test in Sydney, starting from January 3.
