In yet another life saving mission, the Indian Coast Guard rescued eight crew members from a sinking dhow MSV Sarojini Murud, here in Maharashtra.
At around 6:45 p.m. yesterday evening, Indian Coast Guard Ship Samrat on patrol received a VHF distress alert from MSV Sarojini, which is about 20 kilometres west of Murud, approximately 50 kilometres south of Mumbai.
Braving the night and weather conditions, all eight crew of the ill-fated MSV were rescued and brought onboard ICGS Samrat. The rescued crew is being brought to Mumbai.
