The world popular annual electronic dance music ( EDM) Sunburn festival began in Goa.
The event lures thousands of music enthusiasts and creates a festive mood ahead of New Year where LED lighting with high-octane fusion of space and sound provide a mesmerising experience.
Witnessing the popularity of Sunburn festival, Chief Executive Officer of Sunburn, Karan Singh, said that this time the event would be held for four-day under the title ‘Empire of the Sun’.
“We have the world’s top DJs. Dmitri Vegas and Like Mike bands are coming to Goa. They loved it last year. We have David Guetta.
Sunburn Goa this year has collaborated with the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).
“I think domestic tourist as well as foreign tourists will enjoy the good music that will be laid before them over the next four days,” said Managing Director of GTDC, Nikhil Desai.
Sunburn is India’s premier electronic music brand hosting Asia’s largest 3-day electronic music festival in Goa, various city festivals, arena gigs and club tours across the country since 2007.
However, the music festival was embroiled in a controversy in 2009 when a 23-year-old girl from Delhi died at the Sunburn due to drug overdose.
