The Health Ministry in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) will form first of its kind working group to evaluate and address major health care problems in the country.
Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, who was addressing the IMA’s annual Central Council meeting the NATCON 2015, also sought help of the IMA members to fight major health battles faced by the Indian population.
The IMA Central Council meeting was attended by over 1,000 doctors. It discussed issues affecting the Indian medical community, including the increased cases of violence against doctors, un-warranted media trials and the commercialisation of the medical practice by its inclusion under the Consumer Protection Act.
