American automaker Ford launches MyFord Mobile app which allows drivers to remotely control door locks

American automaker Ford has updated its MyFord Mobile app on Android and iOS.

The app now features remote climate control, lock and unlock, mileage, and walking directions for finding the users car, among other things.

The apps are only for Ford’s electric and plug-in hybrid models. Also, the watch apps can read out battery range and charging status.

The users, who drive one of those models and either an Apple Watch or Android Wear smart watch, can download the app right now.
