The University of Walterloo, Canada offers Nano fellowships 2014

The University of Walterloo (UW), Canada has invited applications for its Nanofellowships 2014. Students pursuing the Nanoscience and Technology research programme offered at Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) can apply for the fellowship. The last date to send in applications is April 30, 2014.

Scholarship details:

The selected students will be awarded CAD 10,000 each. The fellowship funding is a supplement to the Research Assistantship support provided by the supervising faculty member (since the minimum support level for a PhD student is CAD 20,000 per year, a Nanofellowship holder will receive a total of at least CAD 30,000).

Eligibility criteria:

New graduate applicants and current graduate students who have at least two terms remaining in their programme at the time of receiving the award (or at least three complete terms remained in their programme at the time of application) are eligible to apply for the fellowship.

How to apply:

Interested and eligible candidates can apply only on the university’s official website: https://uwaterloo.ca/institute-nanotechnology/students/nanofellowships

The applicants also have to arrange two letters of reference and send it directly to the WIN office.

All documents including the reference letters must be received electronically at WIN by Wednesday, April 30, 2014.

Late applications will not be accepted.
