Arjun Kapoor has spilled the beans about his past relationship with Salman Khan’s sister, Arpita Khan

Mumbai: ‘2 States’ star Arjun Kapoor has spilled the beans about his past relationship with Salman Khan’s younger sister, Arpita Khan.

In a recent interview with The Times of India, the 28 year-old star revealed that he was in a serious relationship with Arpita, when he was 18, during the shooting of the film, ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’.

This news was a little shocking, because Salman Khan is known to be very protective of his siblings, but the star revealed that Salman was aware of the relationship, and supported the two.

Arjun Kapoor was quoted saying, “When we started dating, I was scared of Salman bhai and went and told him and the entire family as I wanted them to know from me first.

They were very kind about it. He was taken aback, but he respects people and relationships.”

The actor also revealed that his past relationship with Arpita has not affected his rapport with Salman Khan.

“(I)…felt my life was headed in the right direction and felt sorted …till she broke up with me and suddenly I was confused about what my future held for me. Even after breaking up, I would hang out with him (Khan). He was my friend, my father-figure, older brother, everything at that point.”

Salman Khan, has been a role model to Arjun, he has not only supported and motivated the star to get fit and become an actor, but was also there to support the star when he lost his mother Mona to cancer around the release of his debut film, ‘Ishaqzade’.
