Bangalore, April 25, 2014: Real Estate Industry body Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) – Karnataka has come together with banking behemoth State Bank of India to organise the CREDAI – Karnataka SBI Realty Expo and Home Loan Utsav. The expo will be open to public from tomorrow, April 26th and 27th, 2014, SBI LHO, St.Marks Road, Bangalore.
Over 85 reputed builders across Karnataka, who are members of CREDAI have participated in the expo
The expo was inaugurated by the Chairman of SBI, Ms Arundhati Bhattacharya today. The event is being held at the State Bank of India’s local head office on St Mark’s Road, Bangalore
Speaking on the occasion Ms.Arundathi Bhattacharya, Chairman, SBI said “SBI supports people of all walks of life. SBI also gives home loans to the first time home buyers. We are also supporting the economically backward classes and we will continue that in the future. CREDAI should regulate the builders to maintain a particular standard in their project. If the standards are maintained the number of home loans will increase. It should always be a win-win situation for buyer, builder and financial institutions”.
Speaking on the occasion Mr.R Nagaraj, President, CREDAI Karnataka said “This is the best event in the history of CREDAI Karnataka. For the first time we are jointly organizing this kind of an event. SBI is the biggest bank in the home loan segment. CREDAI is the most credible association in the real estate segment”.
“Prospective buyers would not only get a glimpse of the properties on offers, but also make an informed decision and avail home loan too — all under the same roof,” he added
Sr.Sushil Mantri, Vice President, CREDAI, National and CMD of Mantri Developers said, “SBI is a giant in the banking industry. In the home loan segment SBI has already created its own footprints. I hope they will continue the same in future”.
This expo is a boon to home buyers in the city, as developers would showcase ongoing properties across the price spectrum — budget to ultra luxury apartments as well as villa developments.
Mr.Irfan Razack, Chairman and Managing Director, Prestige Group said “For a family the biggest dream is to own a house. No one can buy a house with out money. So SBI bank is making the home buyers dream come true. However SBI should think about speeding up the home loan process and they should reach 1.5 lakh crore this year”.
Speaking on the home loans Mr.Ramana Reddy, Principal Secretary, Housing Government of Karnataka said “In the last 2 years availing of a home loan has become simpler. There is a shortage of 9.8 million houses in urban areas which has to be taken care of. Also the financial institutions should concentrate more on the economically backward segment”.
The two-day expo promises to provide a complete family experience. SBI will provide on the spot in-principle approval for prospective buyers.
Mr.Suresh Hari, Secretary, CREDAI Bengaluru delivered the vote of thanks and said credibility of CREDAI is garnered year after year.
