New Delhi: In its most direct attack ever, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday released a video targeting Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra accusing him of being involved in fraudulent land deals in Congress-ruled states.
At a press conference today, the BJP released a film that questions the source of Vadra’s wealth and accuses the Congress of shielding him despite the violation of law.
The BJP has now sought a reply from the Congress President and Vice President. “The BJP would like to seek answers from Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.. but for their patronage and their encouragement and the kind of indulgence CMs expected in return for helping Robert Vadra’s empire in the most unabashed way, this would not have been possible,” said party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad.
The Congress was quick to react to the accusations as its spokesperson Sanjay Jha told CNN-IBN that the BJP’s latest move was in retaliation to Rahul Gandhi’s attack on Narendra Modi and his crony capitalism.
This comes just a day after Sonia and Rahul Gandhi accused Modi of having gifted land away to the Adani group in Gujarat.
