Did Sadananda Gowda’s son marry and then ‘ditch’ actress Maitreyi?

Union Railway minister Sadananda Gowda’s son Karthik is caught in a controversy after small-time Sandalwood actress Maitreya Gowda alleged that she is married to him. This came on the day Karthik’s engagement to another girl in Kushalnagar on Wednesday..

The allegation caught the family off-guard. While the family members denied any link between Maitreyi and Karthik, the minister went as far as to say that it was a conspiracy and that he was extremely shocked by the allegations.

Maitreya claimed that she knew Karthik since May and even his family members know her. Speaking to the media she said that the family members knew that Karthik had “ditched her”.

She alleged that after the family members did not approve of the match, the two had married secretly and Karthik had promised to marry her again with his family’s consent. Karthik however denied any such elationship with the actress.

While Maitreya has photos showing her and Karthik together there is currently no proof of the two marrying that she shared with the media.
