Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently on the final leg of his tour of China, met Shanghai Mayor Yang Xiong on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister met Communist Party Secretary of Shanghai Han Zheng, who arranged for a special vegetarian spread for his guest, with the menu including many specialities of the city.
He also met the top business tycoons of China and pitched the ‘Make in India’ initiative to them, witnessing the inking of multi-billion dollar deals between Indian and Chinese business firms.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to depart for the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator later in the day.
