Bangladesh recently created history by handing a humiliating defeat to Team India in Dhaka. The home team beat India 2-1 in the three match ODI series.

But a newspaper ad by a renowned Bangladeshi newspaper shaming Team India members reeks of lack of sportsmanship in Bangladesh media.

Prothom Alo, a famous Bangladeshi newspaper, in its weekly supplement Rosh Alo carried a photoshopped caricature of Indian players in its June 29 edition.

The ad shows Indian players Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan and Ravichandran Ashwin, all half-bald holding a banner that read, “We’ve used it.

You can use it too.”

Standing atop the Indian players is Mustafizur Rahman with a ‘cutter’, symbolising his famous ‘offcutters’.

“Tiger Stationery, Made in Bangladesh, Murtafiz Cutter is available in Stadium Market, Mirpur, Dhaka,” the billboard translation read.
