GiveItUp Rally in Bengaluru today from 10:00 Hrs to 12:00 Hrs

As you are aware, our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given a call, requesting the citizens of the nation, to voluntarily Give up Subsidy on LPG Cylinder Refill especially by those who can afford to do so. For every customer giving up his/her LPG Subsidy, the Oil companies shall provide Clean Cooking fuel to a family below poverty line by giving them a Deposit free LPG Connection.

As per the directives of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MOP&NG), all the Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies, namely, IOCL, HPCL & BPCL are carrying out various activities on publicizing this noble initiative in order to generate awareness among the public and also to encourage people to opt of Subsidy in Electronic, Print and Social Media too.


In this regard, we have conducted a GiveItUp Rally in Bengaluru today from 10:00 Hrs to 12:00 Hrs. The Rally started at 10:00 hrs from Chord Road Junction (Opp. Swathi Hotel) towards Modi Hospital, Shankar Matt, Basaveshwara Nagar and finally ended at Basaveshwara Nagar by 11:45 am. Regional LPG Manager Sh. P. K. Raghunathan of BPCL flagged off the rally at 10:00 hrs. in the midst of Senior officers of BPCL, IOCL & HPCL, Distributors of Bharatgas, Delivery Staff and few customers. The Rally included, our Boys carrying Banners, posters and Placards regarding “Give it up” and some audio clips playing on audio system on Giveitup.

The total participants in the rally were around 150 people. At the end of the Rally, Sh. Ajay Phirke, TM LPG Bangalore thanked all the people participated in the Rally and also requested the people who so ever can opt out their LPG Subsidy to Giveup their Subsidy and join in this noble Nation Building Exercise.

As on date around 26.7 Lakhs of LPG Consumers opted out their LPG Subsidy in the County. Maximum LPG consumers Opted out of subsidy are in the state of Maharashtra and in Karnataka State are the 3rd highest in the number of consumers opted out of subsidy so far with around 1.98 lakh consumers.

This initiative of conducting a rally from Bharatgas has improved awareness amongst our customers in those areas apart from general public too on Giveitup and the Industry is hopeful that it will give an impetus in making or volunteering the affordable consumers to giveup their LPG Subsidy in the near future.
