Over 200 children screened at St Martha’s medical camp

Over 200 children were screened at a medical camp being organized by St Martha’s hospital. The camp was jointly held by St. Martha’s Hospital and Chalice. The camp was held at St. Euphrasia’s Girl’s Higher Primary School Hall, on Museum Road today. ‘Chalice’ is an organization that works at ensuring individuals and communities are able to meet basic requirements of health and education.

The hospital had organized primary testing like height, weight, blood pressure and diagnosis for children. Also doctors offered basic medication and referred them to the hospital for further tests or treatment procedures.

Heading the teams were Dr.

Beulah Prasad, General physician, Dr.Shashikala, General Physician and 2 pediatricians from St. Martha’s Hospital.

Speaking on this medical camp, Jayakar Jerome, the Director of St. Martha’s Hospital says, “We, at St. Martha’s Hospital are dedicated to ensuring quality healthcare to all. We believe that it is especially the need of the hour for our children and senior citizens. With this camp we are reaching out to those in society who need our care.â€
