An officer and two people were after a shootout inside a ‘Planned Parenthood’ clinic in Colorado Springs took place and the gunman has surrendered.
According to the Guardian, Colorado Springs mayor John Suthers confirmed the arrest of the gunman, and lauded the police for ending what he called a “terrible tragedy”.
It was a rather ordinary day at the clinic with patients waiting for appointment and the staff moving about when the shooting unfolded.
Gunshots were first reported at the Planned Parenthood clinic at 11.38am local time and the suspect was believed to be carrying a ‘rifle’ and had bags with him possibly carrying ammunition.
Evacuation began as within the hours the police stormed inside the clinic and convinced the gunman to surrender
