Govt. of India has initiated on Electronics Manufacturing Scheme for seeking in the Electronics Systems Design and Manufacturing ( ESDM) says Shri PH Kurian IAS, Principal Secretary Industries & IT, Govt. of Kerala while speaking the occasion of the breakfast B2B meeting organised by Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) in association with Indian Electronics and Semi-Conductor Association (IESA) in Bangalore on 27th November, 2015 at ISTANA I, Hotel Hyatt, M.G. Road, Bangalore at 8.30

KINFRA was set up b to unleash the industrial development of the Kerala State by providing infrastructure facilities to industries.

KINFRA’s thrust has been to facilitate the development of industrial infrastructure in the Kerala State, and as such it has successfully completed 22 years of excellence in this field.

KINFRA proposes to develop an Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) of International standards at Kakkanad in Kochi, Kerala.

KINFRA GREEN FIELD ELETRONIC PARK, Kochi (UNDER EMC SHEME, GOI)is being developed under the Govt.of India said Dr G C Gopala Pillai, MD KINFRA. The project is intended to create an Industrial Park with all modern facilities for the Electronic manufacturing Industry with assistance from Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India, under the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster Scheme.

The Industries would be eligible for grant under Modified Special Incentive Package (MSIP) scheme of the Govt of India.
KINFRA EMC, Kochi seeks investment opportunities from the Electronic Semiconductor Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) companies. Sri Vidhyanadhan IAS(Rtd), President, Indian Electronics and Semi-Conductor Association (IESA) Shri K N Srikumar, Sr.Media Advisor, KINFRA, Sri. Sasidharan General Manger SFO technologies, Shri Shamsuddin, SFO Technologies, Sri K Sudhakaran General Manager, KINFRA, Sri G Sunil, Manager KINFRA participated in the meeting.

KINFRA has identified 66 acres of land at Kakkanad, Kochi, Kerala which is having easy access by Road to Airport as well as Seaport. KINFRA is in possession of the said land and proposes to set up the EMC with the aim to provide necessary infrastructure required for export based Electronic Manufacturing industries.

KINFRA has been focusing on industrial infrastructure development, specifically aimed at the economic development of the industrially backward regions of the Kerala State, by setting up Industrial Parks/Townships/Zones etc., which provide all the facilities required for the entrepreneurs to start an industry.

The Industrial Parks developed by KINFRA have facilities like developed land or built up space, dedicated power, continuous water supply, communication facilities etc., in addition to supporting social infrastructure facilities like administrative block, bank, post office, round the clock security etc., thus providing a ready-made manufacturing environment for easy start up of industrial units with minimum time and cost.

KINFRA has successfully completed over the past 22 years, 22 theme based Industrial Parks in Kerala in areas such as garments, infotainment, marine/seafood, rubber, exports, food processing, Biotechnology etc.
