Chandigarh, Jan 31 Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today slammed the UPA government for the diesel price hike and termed the decision as “totally unjustified and arbitrary”.
Demanding immediate roll back of the 50 paise per litre hike, Badal said the frequent increase in prices of petroleum products was affecting the common man already suffering from unprecedented inflation.
He said the hike would affect the transport and farming sectors and push prices of essential commodities.
