New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has won from both the seats that he contested from – Varanasi and Vadodara.
He has also at the same time delivered one the biggest wins for Bharatiya Janata Party in the history of the country..
With NDA getting a majority on its own in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Modi is all set to become the Prime Minister of India.
Since being annointed BJP’s PM candidate on September 13 last year, Modi has led a relentless campaign, addressing as many as four to five rallies in the last lap.
In all his rallies, he exhorted the people to give him 60 years as againts 60 months that they had given the Congress. At the same he promised to the people that he would take India on the path of development.
Modi also lambasted the Congress-led UPA government for corruption, scams, price rise and infaltion. Given the mandate of the people it seems that the so-called ‘Modi-wave’ worked with the people.
Modi’s opponent in in Vadodara was Congress general secretary Madhusudan Mistry. In Varanasi, he was piited against AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal and Congress’ Ajay Rai.
